Another case of Corona Virus in Düsseldorf

A 47-year-old Iranian man has now tested positive for the Corona Virus

In Düsseldorf there are further infections with the Corona Virus. A 47-year-old man from Iran has now tested positive. He had suffered mild symptoms of illness since entering the country on 28 February and therefore stayed at home voluntarily. He only had two contacts within his family environment, one of whom now also shows symptoms of illness. The test result is still pending. The second person has no symptoms so far. All remain in quarantine at home.

Among a group of 100 pupils from the Comenius Gymnasium who returned from a school trip to South Tyrol on Friday, 6 March, four young people show symptoms of illness. The whole group has been recommended to remain in home quarantine for 14 days. The teaching staff show no symptoms of illness.
As of 5 p.m. on Monday, 9 March, a total of five Düsseldorf residents have tested positive for the Corona Virus; 152 contact persons are currently under home quarantine.

While a total of 284 calls to the information hotline were answered on Sunday, 8 March from 0 to 24 hrs, on Monday, 9 March, a total of 673 callers received answers to their questions about the Corona Virus by 4 p.m. In total, 21 appointments for a throat swab at the diagnostic centre were made for today, Monday, 9 March, and three additional home visits were arranged for this.
