Liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen,

die Landeshauptstadt Düsseldorf lädt vom 2. September 2021 bis zum 30. Januar 2022 zur Ausstellung "Entrechtet und beraubt. Der Kunsthändler Max Stern" in das Düsseldorfer Stadtmuseum ein. Die Ausstellung sollte ursprünglich im Herbst 2020 gezeigt werden, musste aber aufgrund der Corona-Pandemie mehrfach verschoben werden. Mit der Schau wird das Leben und Wirken des Kunsthistorikers und Galeristen beleuchtet und gewürdigt.

Im Rahmen einer Pressekonferenz wird das Konzept sowie die Realisierung der Ausstellung vorgestellt am

Montag, 12. Juli, 14.30 Uhr,

im Düsseldorfer Rathaus, Sitzungssaal, 1. Obergeschoss, Marktplatz 2, 40213 Düsseldorf. Als Gesprächspartner werden anwesend sein: Oberbürgermeister Dr. Stephan Keller, Kulturdezernent Hans-Georg Lohe, der Kurator Dr. Dieter Vorsteher, die Provenienzforscherin der Landeshauptstadt Düsseldorf, Jasmin Hartmann, sowie die stellvertretende Leiterin des Stadtmuseums, Sigrid Kleinbongartz.

Zu dem Medientermin ist Ihre Redaktion herzlich eingeladen.

Die Pressekonferenz findet hybrid statt. So ist eine Teilnahme in Präsenz im Rathaus oder digital über Microsoft Teams möglich. Im Rathaus besteht die Pflicht zum Tragen einer medizinischen Maske - dies gilt auch während des gesamten Pressetermins. Abstandsregeln sind bitte ebenfalls zu beachten. Die Teilnahmezahl im Rathaus ist begrenzt.

Media event 12.7.21: Press conference for the exhibition "Deprived of rights and property. The art dealer Max Stern"

Dear Colleagues,

The state capital Düsseldorf extends an invitation to the exhibition "Deprived of rights and property. The art dealer Max Stern" being held at the Stadtmuseum Düsseldorf from 2 September 2021 to 30 January 2022. The exhibition was originally scheduled for presentation in the fall of 2020 but had to be postponed several times due to the Corona pandemic. The show illuminates and honors the life and work of the art historian and gallerist Max Stern.

The concept and realization of the exhibition will be highlighted at a press conference taking place on

Monday, 12 July at 2.30 pm

at Düsseldorf City Hall, meeting room, 1st upper floor, Marktplatz 2, 40213 Düsseldorf. Participating dialog partners will be: Mayor Dr. Stephan Keller, City Councillor in charge of Cultural Affairs Hans-Georg Lohe, Curator Dr. Dieter Vorsteher, Provenance researcher of the state capital Düsseldorf Jasmin Hartmann, and Deputy Director of the Stadtmuseum Sigrid Kleinbongartz.
