Are you and your family new in Düsseldorf or in the County of Mettmann?

Your employment contract has already been signed or the business is set up? Now there is the issue of school enrolment of your children and the choice of the appropriate school for them. Generally, you can choose either an international school or the entry into the German school system.

There is a wide variety of schools in Düsseldorf and in the County of Mettmann offering very good chances of education for children and young adults. There are more than 300 schools in the region, including private, bilingual and international educational institutions. In contrast to the public schools, private international schools are liable to fees, work with an international curriculum and offer an international graduation. Especially for families, who stay only for a limited time in the region, such schools might be a good option.

Specialists from the international educational field will outline how non-German children in Düsseldorf and in the County of Mettmann should be registrated in the public schools, which advisory services exist and what private schools offer. In addition to presentations of the representatives of the municipal offices for integration and education of Düsseldorf and the County of Mettmann the international schools of the region will be presented. After the event you will have time for networking.

This event is organized by the Expat Service Desk, which is the first point of contact for international professionals with their families and companies in Düsseldorf and in the County of Mettmann. The Expat Service Desk offers initial information and consultations concerning living and working in this region, like foreign-law procedures, childcare, schooling, professional qualification and career. The project partners of the Expat Service Desk are the Office of Economic Development of Düsseldorf and of the County of Mettmann and the Chamber of Industry & Commerce of Düsseldorf (IHK).
