About 100 guests, mainly industry experts and business partners of Asahi Kasei exchanged information and ideas regarding the latest developments in plastics and automotive industry. One reason of the event was the opening of the new R&D Center of Asahi Kasei in Dormagen as a further step into the European market.
In his greeting address Mayor Geisel pointed out that the opening of the Asahi Kasei European Headquarter in Düsseldorf in 2016 was a great enrichment for the international business location of Düsseldorf as well as for the huge Japanese business community in the city. During his visit to Japan in September this year Mayor Geisel had visited the headquarter of Asahi Kasei in Tokyo and showed himself very impressed by the wide range of high-tech products as well as the dynamic development of business around the globe and especially in Europe.
Moreover, he expressed his gratitude for the strong committment of Asahi Kasei right from the beginning for the local community as well as the open-mindedness of the company expressed in events such as the "Asahi Kasei Europe Business Forum".
