Chinese plant construction company opens European headquarters in Düsseldorf

The company has found suitable premises on Hansaallee 101 in the district of Heerdt and is commencing operations with a staff of 15. The China Competence Center at Düsseldorf's Office of Economic Development has been supporting the company in the settlement process.

Technological assistance to the global subsidiaries

CEO Guodong Jiang: "ShaanGu Europa Forschung und Entwicklung GmbH will provide technological assistance to the global subsidiaries of the Shaangu Group and bundle resources for cooperation purposes." Its parent company, ShaanGu, is a listed company and is based in the province of Shaanxi.

Düsseldorf - city of choice for European headquaters

Around 500 Chinese companies have set up their European head offices in the State Capital, many of whom are global players in the telecommunications, steel and household electronics sectors. The arrival in Düsseldorf of ShaanGu Europa Forschung und Entwicklung GmbH underlines the city's significance as Germany's No. 1 location for foreign direct investment and as the city of choice when it comes to establishing European headquarters.

 Since 2016, 112 Chinese companies have settled in Düsseldorf. They include Quanta Cloud Technology (fromTaiwan, approx. 1000 employees worldwide, manufacturer of server technology and data centres), Ehang GmbH (drones), Kinen Manufaktur Gruppe GmbH (sanitary products), INTCO Europe GmbH (medical consumables), Chenming Paper (one of the world's largest paper manufacturers, sales office, re-location of headquarters from Hamburg). They all chose Düsseldorf as a base from which to develop or expand their European business.
