Cosmetics manufacturer LUSH extends production site in Düsseldorf-Benrath

... the cosmetics company LUSH has been operating a large production plant with more than 200 employees in Düsseldorf-Benrath. All 43 branches of LUSH in Germany are supplied with the fragrant cosmetic products from this plant.
The rental contract with SEGRO was signed last November and the building prepared for the start of production. The Office of Economic Development supported the company in many ways e.g. in permit management, in looking for kindergarten places and in applying for resident permits for foreign specialists.
After the Brexit vote in the UK referendum, Mark Constantine, co-founder and managing director of LUSH commented: "Almost 20 percent of our employees do not have British nationality. The discussions and now final Brexit vote have had and still have a dramatic impact on the life of our employees."
LUSH offered all those working in Poole to move to Düsseldorf. As planned, the manufacturing plant initially supplied Germany and from October also supplied France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Sweden. From 2017, supplies will also be delivered to Finland, Norway and Switzerland from the plant in Bonner Straße.
