Düsseldorf – perfect location for expats and their families
For the Expat Insider 2016 survey, InterNations has taken a close look at more than 60 countries across the globe: the results also include a ranking of 35 cities that prove to be common destinations among the participants.
Düsseldorf ranks forth on the InterNations Ranking List, as first of all German cities. Düsseldorf as an attractive cosmopolitan city with a growing population and foreigners accounting for about 17 % is not only a leading business center at the heart of Europe, but also a location with various cultural offers and leisure activities. Therefore Düsseldorf owes its top rank with regard to factors like work-live balance, quality of living, working and professional live, relatively low cost of living and last but not least the warm welcome culture which is offered to expats.
Among the 35 cities analyzed, Melbourne turns out to be the favorite location for expats. In second place, Houston, Texas, attracts expats with friendly locals and low costs. Madrid boasts a great quality of life and lands on third.
