Mit der im Sommer 2018 ins Leben gerufenen Initiative "Fahrradstellplätze für Düsseldorf" hat das Amt für Verkehrsmanagement bisher mehr als 2.500 neue Abstellmöglichkeiten in Düsseldorf für Fahrräder geschaffen. Der Radverkehr in Düsseldorf steigt und damit auch der Bedarf an Fahrradabstellplätzen. Bis zum 1. Dezember 2020 registrierten die 13 Dauerzählstellen der Stadt insgesamt 6.821.048 Radfahrende. Das sind rund 23 Prozent mehr als im Vorjahreszeitraum.

Die Rosskastanienallee entlang der Cecilienallee weist aktuell viele Lücken auf. Aufgrund der Krankheitsanfälligkeit der Rosskastanien wird ein sukzessiver Artenwechsel zum Tulpenbaum vollzogen. In den nächsten beiden Wochen werden 87 Exemplare des Tulpenbaums entlang des Rheinparks und 40 Zieräpfel auf der gegenüberliegenden Straßenseite gepflanzt.
